ENCINITAS SUNSET [photography]

TITLE - ENCINITAS SUNSET MEDIUM - Photograph SUGGESTED PRICE - $100 for 16" X 20" Canvas Print DESCRIPTION -A picture I took with my cellphone on an Encinitas cliff one afternoon. The horizon was incredibly foggy and gave the sunset a haze. I was snapping pictures from different views when I noticed a plane about to cross the sky. Using a cellphone, I knew I had to wait for the right moment because it would take several seconds before it was ready for another shot. So, I waited patiently for the plane to trail across the horizon, snapped the pic, and this is what came out. :)

Unfortunately, we are not butterflies...

Some boys will become fathers, live a century and never become men. Some girls will experience child birth and hot flashes but never become womyn. Puberty is no cocoon, their chrysalis comes in coffins. <|3
There's a lot of good things about having a 4GB memory card for my camera phone. I have plenty of space to take the 8MP high resolution pictures. I don't ever have to worry about running out of space to take pictures. Those are great advantages but there are some bad things as well. When I search through my pics, it can take awhile to find a particular pic because there are so many. And...when you have 4GB, you sometimes forget to unload some of those pictures for a month or two. And when you finally get around to unloading you realize you've saved up 800+ pictures and it takes your computer fifteen minutes to download them. lol :) <|3

Like water my son...

Everything feels so fluid. I feel as if I'm in the middle of whitewater rapids, standing. As if I'm just standing there, muscles tight and twitching; standing against this great force of nature. The water swirls and crashes all about me. It's so hard to think. My thoughts feel like the rapids. Attempting to hold onto a single thought is like trying to hold the nature that surrounds me. But there I am, standing against. I don't know if I should move. I'm afraid to take a step. I'm afraid to even unclench a single finger. And I don't know if it's out fear that once I let go, once I let my muscles relax, once I take the first step that I will be swept away. Or if fear that once I try to move, that I'll continue to stand against the flow.
Everything is being drawn to doubt now. Everything requires evaluation. I have to write it all down. Which is what I should have done long before.

Life feels itself

Life feels itself. I didn't understand this line when I first heard it. I've thought this line a bit since I've first heard. I think I may have a slight grasp on the idea. Just as much as I can claim to feel life, life feels itself. It is aware, in sense . Life is alive. Life breathes and moves and thinks just as I do. It is unique as I. It has it's own desires and dislikes, it's own personality so to speak. It loves. And it feels pain. This life can hurt. But this life has purpose, a flow, a rhyme and reason like the tide. It knows what's important; what's significant. It is ever moving like a creature on to itself. I must care for my life. I must be cognizant of what it desires for me. I must be aware of how life feels because life feels itself. But it also feels me.

Recycled Materials ;)

I cracked open a couple cold ones today. I've developed some really mint techniques with spraypaint as of late. I'm proud of myself ;). Some people consider spraypaint to be simply acrylic paint. There's no evocation about that but still I believe if you used acrylic paint and spraypaint to create a piece, you can't say it's all acrylic. You would say it's acrylic and spraypaint. As I'm learning each day, spraypaint has its own properties and tendencies. The drying quickness and application, I find, aren't limiting but open up new possibilities for creativity. Spraypaint is my most used medium (for now). My little contribution to this so called global warming. Beautiful things come in destructive packages.
