TITLE - Mixed Tapes MEDIUM - Mixed Media DIMENSIONS - 16" x 20" SUGGESTED PRICE - $70 DESCRIPTION - I found some old cassette tapes and decided to do some cool things with 'em. Oh how I remember mixtapes... <|3

TITLE - After-school Specil MEDIUM - Stencil on wood DIMENSIONS - 3' x 4' SUGGESTED PRICE - 200.00 DESCRIPTION - 5 layer two foot by four foot stencil. The largest and most detailed stencil I've yet to do. It took me countless hours to cut and my middle finger was numb for quite a while after. It depicts three boys smoking in a time period when that was obviously the norm... Color Blue Sepia Orange Red Black & White Green <|3

I was spraypainting and messing around a little bit the other day, assisted by my little brother. I was primarily trying to practice doing abstract background stuff and then added some stencil work. I'm kind of amassing an army of stencils...

Oh stencils, no matter how much I try to give you up I keep coming back to you...

So, I've decided that I'm not doing stencils anymore. Well, not for along time anyway. I'll probably use them for minor things like backgrounds and little designs. But not for the subject matter. Right now, stencils take up too much time and space. They are too hard to maintain and shelve. I was getting too many commissions to do stencils and had to take hours to make a stencil I would never use again. So, no more stencils for awhile. Though I've never cut myself using those razor sharp blades, I'm sure my fingers are thankful. Be, Konstant
